Location in centre of town. Great breakfast.
Room price too high for location. Meal prices extremely high for quality of food. Much better quality, much better service at about half the price from a choice of resturants within one minute.
Room was comfortable and spacious. The restaurant was very nice, the staff were friendly and the food was excellent.
Trouble accessing our room with the card key (were given a real key). Our room was not "done" when we got back late afternoon (were given a £20 refund).
Cleanest hotel ever with very efficient, friendly staff, in ideal location.
The bed was extremely firm.
Nice modern facilities, good food, great location right in the centre of pitlochry. On the whole it was very good.
Sound proofing isnt great in the rooms and you can hear the noise from the bar, it doesnt go on too late though. Rooms can also be very hot, a lighter weight duvet or sheet would have been nice. On the whole very good though and these are just minor things.
the hotel is in the centre of Pitlochry, it's warm, welcoming and very friendly. The rooms are comfortable & spacious. The food is delicious and there is a great buzz in the bar throughout the day with people popping in for lunches, dinners as well as the nightly revellers - even midweek. The staff are excellent, always smiling - you never seem to have to wait for anything and Thomas' flower arranging is second to none.
Excellent location slap bang in the town centre but kind of sneekily hidden away. Friendly staff and the family room was absolutely perfect with 3 double beds!!
Dinner bookings are not taken for less than 6 people and I think if you are resident you should be able to book. They did make an exception for us as we wanted dinner very early.
The room was well maintained and spotless and the bed very comfortable. Lounge / bar area was very relaxing and the restaurant was excellent staffed by very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The food was very high quality (we had dinner on 1st night of two) and although reasonably pricey, it was well worth paying for. A hot breakfast was served which was superb and a range of cold meats, cheeses, cereal, oatcakes, pastries and a good selection of fresh fruit served with two or fresh coffee was also available as required.
One minor comment is that the reception area is adjoined to the bar and at times there appeared to be a bottle-neck when only one member of staff was on-hand.
Friendly staff, a warm welcome, spotlessly clean and good ale in the bar - magic!
modern clean comfortable informal
Loved the location....room was very comfortable. Front desk person (didn't get her name) was great. She waited on us at the bar and gave some excellent travel advise to us. Managers were multi taskers from helping with luggage to serving breakfast. Loved the Old Mill Inn
Food in the restaurant was not good. First, we asked for two separate checks for my party of four....I ordered a steak (big mistake) and so did my cousin (the other check) I received my skinny sirloin cooked medium and cold (I asked for rare). My cousin and his wife didn't receive their food for at least twenty-five minutes after my daughter and I got our food....totally unacceptable. Our server was never to be found again...had to flag someone down for the check.
The hotel had a good atmosphere to it the staff were very helpful and friendly.Rooms were very nice and their was a good choice at breakfast. The hotel was also in a very good location.
For anyone wanting an early nights sleep the group playing in bar could be heard loudly in rooms until midnight but this would not deter me from returning to The Old Mill Inn as over all it was a very pleasant stay.
The friendliness of the staff, comfort in bedrooms as well as bar and restaurant and the location of the old mill. We will definitely stay at the old mill again.
The location was central and close to all ammenities
The live music was extremely loud and did permeate the living accommodation so it was impossible to sleep if not partaking in the entertainment.
The location of this hotel is second to none, right in the centre of town, just off the main road, private parking, the staff very helpful with the rooms being of excellent standard, food was excellent in the evening and the breakfast one of the best we had in Scotland. I would definitley return
